
I used to have a camera that had no video capabilities. I tried to remember to take sequential photos of my paintings. I would always forget after a certain point. But here are the ones I found of my painting of Sam and Aya.
It was painted in the spare room, using the square method to enlarge the photo as accurately as I could. Working from a photo that small I had to use animal anatomy books to figure out what was going wrong with Sam’s leg there. I also used my laptop to zoom in on details like the eyes. Probably about that time I witnessed a customer in the hotel I was working at using one of the first iPads. (So useful for painting from!)
Incidentally it the photo I painted from was taken on Blackhall rocks, where I am now painting outside.
