I hope you’re all safe and well in these interesting times. I have been coasting along in a daze, wondering what time it is, what day it is, and slowly reverting back to my teenage sleep patters or stay up all night and sleep all day. fortunately, now that we can leave the house as […]

Exhibition
I have an exhibition coming up in March. It’s quite surreal to have my name in such a ‘letters after their name’ line up. The exhibition was organised by Stuart Jones, who invited me to exhibit. I’ve got all my paintings framed, they’re now safely stored on the wall in the living room until it’s […]
Praticing seascapes at home
There were some things I was really struggling to capture when I was painting outside. The sea keeps moving! So from the numerous photos I’d taken, I painted a study of the ways, white horses and wet sand, the points of interest. I started off with a purple underpainting as I accidentally got purple on […]
En Car Air

Painting in the woods
I was watching a youtube video by Stefan Baumann. And the video boils down to: if you want to get better at painting trees…. go paint trees. So that is what I did. I walked out my studio and dragged my stuff with me. I parked in front of a tree I knew would have […]

Blackhall rocks again
Guess where I’ve been on a Sunday? It was two weeks ago but I’ve been revising for an exam so painting sadly had to take a back seat. We perched on the cliff tops as we were both tired and couldn’t face the thought of hauling all our stuff up the cliff path. We pitched […]
Geraniums
When we had the builders in, a few years ago, I painted in my bedroom, so I used acrylics. This is one of those paintings that just happened, a very rare occurrence.
