Plein Air: Blackhall Rocks

On February half term as I didn’t have life drawing, and Sue didn’t have French, so we went to Blackhall Rocks Beach. As I had work on the morning we got there just as the sun was going down so the light was fantastic! It did disappear fast. I ended up painting from memory more than scenery.

It was super windy, we were so cold even when we walked back up the cliff to the car.

There were many walkers going past us despite the chill. We thought we’d get to keep this sweetheart, as he was convinced I had food and sat with me until his owner was out of our sight.

Had a great day out. I feel I was able to capture the clouds, but lost my way a little with the foreground.
